image006 (1K)THE PROBLEM
As of January 23, 2006, the U.S. Department of Energy is requiring that central air conditioners and heat pumps meet an efficiency rating of 13 SEER or above. Most homes have systems rated at 8 or 10 SEER. When these systems must be replaced, they will have to be replaced with 13 SEER rated equipment, which is much larger and heavier than the equipment being replaced. Unfortunately, to accommodate the larger, heavier equipment, many homes will require substantial and costly modifications to the coil, gas lines, line sets, valves, transitions, plenum, electrical, pads, stands, and more. Homes you sell today could be affected by this mandate!
image006 (1K)THE SOLUTION
We are handling the 13 SEER mandate in the best way to eliminate surprises and to bring satisfaction to you and your clients.
image006 (1K)13 SEER EQUIPMENT IS COVERED
Our air conditioning coverage will pay for the added cost of 13 SEER and any covered component needed to ensure compatibility, whenever we determine it is necessary to replace with 13 SEER equipment. This includes sheet metal for plenums and air handlers, the installation of thermostatic valves, and the replacement of evaporative coils, and refrigerant lines.
image006 (1K)ALL CONTRACT HOLDERS WILL BE PROTECTED
We will go beyond the terms of our existing contracts to provide upgraded 13 SEER equipment and all necessary covered components to our existing contract holders for no extra cost.
image006 (1K)$1,000 COVERAGE FOR RELOCATIONS/ALTERATIONS
Sometimes there will be 13 SEER related costs necessary to replace roof jacks and stands, pads, electrical, plumbing, vents, structural components, or to relocate a system. These are traditionally not covered under the terms of warranty contracts. Relocations and Alterations to the home made necessary by the 13 SEER mandate will be covered Relocation/Alterations Option ($100) up to the aggregate limit of $1,000.
