Q. What is a home warranty?
A. A home warranty is a service contract that helps protect homeowners
against the cost of unexpected repairs and replacements of covered
major systems and appliances that break from normal usage. When a
covered item breaks, BPG Home Warranty will repair or replace it and all the homeowner pays is a small trade call fee.
Q. How much is the trade call
fee?
A. Trade call fees range from
$30 to $100, depending on the plan you choose.
Q. So if my dishwasher breaks down and needs to be replaced for $600, all I would pay is the low trade call fee?
A. Yes. You just need to call BPG Home Warranty first.
Q. Aren't I already covered by my homeowner insurance?
A. No--homeowner insurance doesn't cover the cost of home repairs
caused by normal wear and tear. For instance, if your water heater
leaks and damages your floor, a homeowner policy may cover the cost of
repairing the water damaged floor, but not the cost of replacing the
water heater. In this way, a home warranty and a homeowner policy
complement each other. For complete coverage, you really need
both.
Q. What items other than dishwashers and water heaters are available for coverage?
A. Plumbing systems, electrical systems, heating and air conditioning
systems, and most major appliances throughout the home. Coverage is
also available for items like swimming pool/spa equipment, well pumps,
and roof leak repair. Be sure to read the contract for complete terms
and conditions.
Q. Does BPG Home Warranty require an inspection prior to issuing coverage?
A. Not normally. However, all covered systems and appliances must be in
place and in proper and safe working order at the time coverage goes
into effect.

Emergency service is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
We also accept non-emergency service requests by fax or at our website.
Q. Who performs the repairs?
A. We will dispatch a qualified service company that is local to your
area. We carefully monitor their quality of work. We also follow up
with you to ensure your satisfaction.
Q. Can I cover my rental property and my vacation home?
A. Yes, but provide us with your mailing address.
Q. Are these plans renewable?
A. Yes, the plans are renewable at the option of BPG Home Warranty.
(BPG) will notify the homeowner in advance of the expiration date.
